According to the Parliamentary Budget Office's macroeconomic forecasting model (PBOMFM), Georgian economy will grow by 4.1% in 2017, while in the medium-term (2018-2021) forecasted real GDP growth rate on average equals to 5.3%.
PBO forecasts that net lending/borrowing and fiscal balance will amount to -0.2% and -4.1% of GDP in 2017, respectively. PBO’s forecasts of net lending/borrowing and fiscal balance are slightly higher than that of MOF. This mainly due to the fact that PBO’s projection of nominal GDP is higher (37,341 MLN GEL), while tax revenue projections (9,568 MLN GEL) are almost the same.
